Hello! My name is Jade and I have been with troop 42071 since the late summer of 2016.
As a child, I was in girl scouts. I learned how to balance budgets with cookie sales, change tires and oil, plan for the future and ride horses.
I decided to help lead this troop to be able to give back to the girls and community.
Our troop has been very active and successful because we run the troop as a democracy. We vote on which badges we want to do, and as the girls have grown with the troop.
They are responsible for the planning and executing the badges they are interested in pursing. I facilitate by helping with logistics and sometimes sanding for the woodworking senior badge. 🙂
I hope to continue leading the troop for many years to come and support the girls with their dreams of earning their gold awards.
Once our girls graduate, I plan to lead Daisies with Alan and Brittney once their daughter Ada is able to join.
